Legal actions on NUG member Maung Kyaw (aka) Phyo Zeyar Thaw who commits terrorist attacks in Yangon Region

NUG member terrorist Maung Kyaw (aka) Phyo Zeyar Thaw was arrested with two Sig Sauer pistols, 48 9mm bullets, one M-16 rifle and 74 5.56 bullets at room B-0907 of the Apartment 3/B of the Yadana Hninsi Housing, in Yadana Road of Dagon Seikkan Township on 18 November 2021.
According to his confession, the police raided his houses located in No (29) ward and (za) north ward in Thingangyun Township and seized a total of 178 guns and explosives.
According to the confession of Maung Kyaw (aka) Phyo Zeyar Thaw, a total of 293 suspects — 247 males and 46 females — who are conducting terrorist attacks in the Yangon Region were arrested together with arms and ammunition, grenades, homemade bombs, smoke bombs, other explosive-related materials, satellite phones, laptops, hard disk, ATM cards, passports, lists to launch bomb attacks and commit murders in Yangon Region and stimulant tablets. The seizures were already announced on 18, 20 and 25 November.
According to his confession, NUG members Yee Mon and Lwin Ko Latt transported 353 arms, 476 magazines and other arms and ammunition to start attacks in Yangon Region.
Defendant Maung Kyaw (aka) Phyo Zeyar Thaw gave weapons provided by NUG to 20 terrorist groups — STF, SOF, HRD, YG network, UMCD, RF, UG, 44-ST UG, YFA, Tamway PDF, Thakayta PDF, South Okkalapa PDF, Dagon PDF, Dagon Myothit (North) PDF, Dagon Myothit (South) PDF, Hlinethaya PDF, Hline PDF, Kawhmu PDF, Dawbon PDF and Mingaladon PDF to launch attacks on innocent civilians in Yangon Region.
They also killed the townships/wards/townships administrative officials, government employees, USDP members and other opposition party members and innocent civilians and launched bombing attacks on government-owned buildings 30 times while 32 times on ward administration offices, nine times near EPC offices, nine times near the RTAD office, five times on CCTV control boxes, 60 times at public areas to threaten the people, two times near religious buildings and three times on schools. In doing so, they gave weapons depending on the missions.
Defendant Maung Kyaw (aka) Phyo Zeyar Thaw gave arms and ammunition to kill innocent people 28 times.
On 29 April 2021, he gave one pistol and one homemade bomb to the HRD terrorist group, and it attacked Hlinethaya Township administrative office in No (16) ward and one was injured.

On 30 April, he provided one pistol and one homemade bomb to the STF terrorist group, and it threw into Dagon Myothit (East) Myoma police station and one was injured.
On 18 May, he gave one pistol and two homemade bombs to the STF terrorist group, and it killed No (3) ward administrator U Myo Lwin of Lanmadaw Township.
On 21 May, he gave two pistols to the STF terrorist group and it attacked the Sangyoung Township administration office. It reported one security member dead and one police and one person injured.

On 27 May, he handed over one pistol to Thakayta PDF and they killed one innocent person in the Manpyay ward of Thakayta Township.
On 30 May, he granted one pistol and one homemade bomb to the YG Network terrorist group and they attacked Shwepyitha Township No (6) ward administration office and two civilians were injured.
On 1 June, he gave one pistol to Hlinethaya PDF and killed one civilian in No (11) ward of Hlinethaya Township.
On 1 June, he also gave one pistol to STF terrorist group and killed one civilian in No (3) ward in Mayangon Township.
On 3 June, he gave one pistol to Dawbon PDF and killed one civilian at ward administration office of Dawbon Township.
On 7 June, he granted one pistol to STF terrorist group and shot to two security members in No 3 Manpyay ward of Thakayta Township. The two security members were injured.
On 8 June, he gave one pistol to Tamway PDF and killed one innocent person in the Kyarkwetthit ward of Tamway Township.
On 10 June, he issued two pistols to the STF terrorist group and killed one innocent person in Yeyeiktha ward in Botahtaung Township.
On 16 June, he also granted one pistol to Hlinethaya PDF and killed one innocent person in No (13) ward of Hlinethaya Township.
On 29 June, he gave one pistol, 12 homemade bombs, 11 rounds of mild gun powder, one gun power pack, and 18 detonators and shot security members in front of the Myanma Economic Bank in Tamway Township and one member died.
On 11 July, he gave one Glock pistol to STF terrorist group and robbed Hla Thida gold shop in Mayangon Township.
On 5 August, he gave one pistol to Dagon Myothit (North) PDF and one civilian was injured at the Myine Maha teashop in No (35) ward of Dagon Myothit (North) Township.

On 14 August, he granted six pistols to Tamway PDF and attacked security members on the Yangon circular train and six members died.
On 17 August, he gave one pistol to Dagon Myothit (South) PDF and one person was injured while they attacked the administrative office of No (57) ward in Dagon Myothit (South) township.
On 22 August, he gave two pistols to STF terrorist group and attacked a police outpost near the Bayintnaung Bridge in Hlinethaya Township.
On 25 August, he gave one pistol to STF and attacked in 106 ward in Dagon Myothit (South) Township with one civilian being injured.
On 26 August, he gave one pistol to Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) PDF and killed one civilian in No (94) ward in Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township.
On 2 September, he also gave two pistols to Hline PDF and shot one civilian in No (1) Ward of Hline Township.
On 9 September, he gave two arms to RF terrorist group and one security member was shot dead during a patrol in Sangyoung Township.
On 11 September, he gave one pistol to RF terrorist group and killed one civilian in No (1) ward of Mayangon Township.
On 22 October, he gave one pistol, three homemade bombs, two vehicles, and two unregistered motorcycles to STF terrorist group to rob the KBZ bank in Botahtaung Township.
On 23 October, he gave eight guns, 35 magazines, 1,220 various bullets, 12 40mm rockets, four grenades, five smoke bombs, two mortars, seven gun powder packs and one binocular and attacked the traffic police outpost at the Bakaya traffic light of Kyimyindine Township and one security member was injured.
On 23 October, he granted four pistols to STF terrorist group and attacked a traffic police outpost in Botahtaung Township and one security member was injured.
On 4 November, he gave one pistol to YFA terrorist group and killed U Thein Aung, Mytel GM in Mayangon Township.
Defendant Maung Kyaw (aka) Phyo Zeyar Thaw testified that CRPH and NUG members Phyu Phyu Thin, Naing Htoo Aung, Win Myat Aye and Lwin Ko Latt transferred money which was collected using various ways to him to launch attacks. He spent money on buying arms and ammunition, explosives, unregistered vehicles, renting safe houses, committing bombing attacks and giving cash awards depending on the mission of killing people and he also used it for his own sake.
Terrorists committed terrorist acts in Yangon Region according to the instructions of Maung Kyaw (aka) Phyo Zeyar Thaw and 21 people — nine security members and 12 innocent civilians were killed and 14 others injured.
Therefore, Maung Kyaw (aka) Phyo Zeyar Thaw was taken action under the Counter-Terrorism Law Section 49 (a), 50 (i) and 50 (j) for instructing to commit murders and terrorist acts in Yangon Region and colluding with terrorist groups NUG/CRPH/NUCC.
He kept the arms and ammunition at houses, for CRPH, NUG and PDF which were declared terrorist groups with Order No (2/2021) of the Anti-Terrorism Central Committee of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, launched bomb attacks in Yangon by leading 20 terrorist groups, instructed to attack security outposts, police stations, departmental offices and stations, kill the innocent civilians, and so the Martial Law tribunal was organized on 21 January 2022 and ordered the death sentence under the Counter-Terrorism Law Section 49 (a), 50 (i) and 50 (j). — MNA
