Life jackets given to students in Rakhine State by Charity 500

The life jackets will be provided to students in Sittway, Kyauktaw and Minbya Townships.

Students in Rakhine State who travel to school on boat will be given life jackets, according to Police Captain
Win Zaw, leader of the philanthropic group Charity 500 in Sittway.
Charity 500 is comprised of Sittway airport police, airport staff and taxi drivers who saved Ks 500 per month flood relief and other charitable services.
The life jackets will be provided to students in Sittway, Kyauktaw and Minbya Townships by the end of the month. Charity 500 bought more than 200 life jackets with their own funds.
They are also collecting additional donations to buy a total of 500 life jackets.
Rakhine State is a coastal state crisscrossed with many rivers and creeks, where many people rely on waterways for transport.
