Local, foreign journalists prerform media coverage in Buthidaung Tsp

A group comprised of local and foreign media personnel from Tokyo Shinbum, The Mainichi Newspaper, Sankei Shimbum, Nippon TV, TBS, AFP, Wall Street Journal, MI Radio, MITV, MRTV and MNA, arrived at the Donethein temporary camp in Buthidaung Township, Rakhine State, where they observed the ground situations.
There are totaling 263 displaced people, including 43 ethnic households, at the Donethein temporary camp, where the media personnel collected news from them. They then proceeded to the Dabyuchaung Village, where they met with Muslim families. In the afternoon, the media group arrived back to Yangon by air from Sittway.
The media groups have been allowed access to Rakhine State one-time in 2016, eight times in 2017, six times in February, 2018, 15 times in the arrangement of the Advisory Board for Implementation of Recommendations on Rakhine State, making a total of 30 times media tours. The Committee for Implementation of the Recommendations on Rakhine State has been making arrangements for conducting two guided media trips per month within 2018.—Myo Myint (MNA)(Translated by Win Ko Ko Aung)
