Local residents joined local authorities in dredging the earthen lakes in Thakhukkon and Kantaw villages in Nattalin Township, Bago Region, preparing them to store water during rainy season.
A local resident from Thakhukkon Village said, “The lake dried up in summer, leaving us with a shortage of water, not only for local residents but for animals. Now it can store rainwater, so we will have enough water next season.”
