Luminary artistes from film, music and theatrical arenas urged to join variety show

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn delivered a speech at the meeting to discuss holding the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023 commemorative variety show at the Motion Picture Promotion Branch of the Information and Public Relations Department in Bahan Township of Yangon yesterday morning.
A plan is underway to stage a variety show to mark the 2023 Dismond Jubilee Independence Day in coming November. It is necessary to separately draw make the independence day honouring programmes and entertainment programmes, aiming at ensuring relaxation of the people and disseminating knowledge about the independence.
The Union minister urged luminary artistes from film, music and theatrical arenas to join the variety show and give suggestions for successfully holding the show. Chairman of the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day Variety Show Organizing Working Committee Deputy Minister U Ye Tint explained arrangements for the show whereas officials from Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, Myanmar Music Association and Myanmar Theatrical Performers Association gave necessary suggestion.—MNA
