M2 World Championship: Burmese Ghouls bag 1st Runner Up with 3-4 loss to Bren Esports

Myanmar’s Mobile Legends team, Burmese Ghouls secured the second prize (1st Runner Up) of the M2 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship 2021 after facing a narrow 3-4 loss to Filipino Bren Esports team in the Grand Final of the Esports championship which was held yesterday at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore.
Five Burmese Ghouls players: Ace, Dee, Maybe, Kid, and Ruby DD joined the battle game for the World Championship Grand Final.
The final game between the two teams was fierce and both teams’ gamers handled colourful heroes draft.
The Filipino team took advantage of off-lane and tower control errors of Burmese Ghouls players in the middle of the Game 7 to secure their win of the championship.
In the Group Stages, Burmese Ghouls beat Unique Devu 2-0 and RSG 2-1 to enter the Upper Bracket Playoffs together with Bren Esports, RRQ Roshi and Omega Esports.
In the Upper Bracket Playoff stage, the Burmese Ghouls defeated Bren Esports 2-0 and in the Upper Bracket Final, the Myanmar team defeated RRQ Roshi 3-2 to advance to the Grand Final.
The best 12 teams from nine countries competed in the M2 World Championship.
Remarkably, the Grand Final Game between Burmese Ghouls vs Bren Esports was watched by almost one million of Myanmar fans on the free-to-air livestream page of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Myanmar. —Lynn Thit (Tgi)
