Malicious media spread fake news in Dawei

The malicious media outlets intentionally spread false information online, claiming that a clash occurred between the security forces and PDFs and the security forces arrested the locals along with seven motorcycles from Maungmeshaung village in Dawei township of Taninthayi Region on 18 January.
According to the relevant security official, even though there was engagement between the security forces and the terrorists near Maungmeshaung village, the security forces did not arrest locals or occupy the property of public.
The malicious media outlets cover the news with fake information to mislead the public about the efforts of security forces. — MNA/KTZH
