Mandalay-Bhamo ferry boat attacked by armed terrorists

The “Paut Tan” Mandalay-Bhamo ferry boat was shot, and two crew members injured on 6 May.
The armed terrorists attacked the ferry boat carrying ten passengers and 199 tonnes of goods from Katha between Thayargone and Kyaukgyi villages. The armed attack took 15 minutes, causing injuries to the two crew members.
The boat was driven to Shwegu and arrived at 11:15 pm. The injured personnel were given medical treatment, and no passenger was reportedly injured.
The Ministry of Transports and Communications has planned to assign the police as an escort on board the vessel. The public is requested to report any suspicious situations promptly. – MNA
