According to the Ayeyawady Region government, the expansion and construction of the platform of Mawtinsun Pagoda in Hainggyikyun, Ayeyawady Region, will be completed before the next pagoda festival season.
An official from the Ayeyawady Region government said that the construction of the precinct of the pagoda will be completed before the next festival season.
The maintenance of the flagstaff on the platform of the Mawtinsun Pagoda, the construction of a retaining wall between the upper and lower terraces and other repair and maintenance work will be completed before the next festival season as well.
The Buddha Pujaniya Festival of Mawtinsun Pagoda is held every year from the first waxing to the full moon of Tabaung, and the festival will be held in 2024 as usual. — ASH/CT
