The Myanmar Boxing Commission (MBC) has announced that the second MBC professional boxing event will be held on 26 September. The event is organized to increase the records of participants in MBC Professional Boxing, to pave the way for them to participate in JBC competitions, and to issue MBC professional boxer licenses.
The cash award will be increased, and both the winners and quality performers from the previous event, including those who lost, will be allowed to compete again. The registration date for participants, as well as the weight classes and eligibility criteria, will be announced soon.
The first MBC professional boxing event was held on 20 August, featuring ten bouts, including a women’s fight between Naw Ohnma Soe and Ei Ei Htwe. The winners were awarded official medals by the World Boxing Commission (WBC). The event featured national athletes, state and regional champions, traditional boxers, and emerging talents, with free admission for spectators. — TWA/KZL
