Myanmar Embassy invited investments from China and regional countries during the second China-ASEAN Industrial Cooperation and “Two Countries, Twin Parks” Project Sharing Roundtable Discussion of the 21st China-ASEAN Expo held on 23 September at Hotel Wo Sheng, Nanning of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
The discussion aims to boost China-ASEAN industrial cooperation and facilitate bilateral trade and investments. Myanmar Ambassador to China U Tin Maung Swe gave an opening remark.
The China-ASEAN Industrial Cooperation and “Two Countries and Twin Parks” Project Sharing Roundtable discussion plays a pivotal role in bolstering trade relations and ties between ASEAN and China. It will bring about fruitful results for both parties, as well as socioeconomic development and cultural exchanges and people-to-people connections.
Despite challenging factors, ASEAN and China remain the most significant trading partners. ASEAN is a promising and dynamic region that is exploring innovation and expanding businesses. It plays an integral part in promoting investments and trade.
ASEAN builds resilient supply chains in global value chains. Promising market opportunities to sell regional goods in international trade are expected. I, hereby, would like to invite investments in agriculture, livestock, transportation, communication, energy, infrastructural building, manufacturing and industry sectors, he highlighted.
Vice Administrator of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, secretary-general of ASEAN-China Centre, Assistant Secretary of Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce, and President of Bataan Freeport Area, the Philippines also gave the remarks, respectively.
About 700 guests, economic delegates and representatives from China and ASEAN attended the discussion. — ASH/KK
