A meeting in Nay Pyi Taw sought means to further accelerate healthcare in flood-hit areas around the country, which saw the participation of Union Minister for Healthand Sports Dr Myint Htwe.
At the meeting, Assistant Director Dr Kyaw Khaing San of the Public Health Department explained the distribution of medicines and medical equipment, including anti-snake venom, water purifying pills, water purification devices and insecticide-treated nets, the provision of healthcare services at temporary flood relief camps and mobile flood relief camps and monitoring of disease outbreaks. Meeting attendees then discussed ways and means to accelerate healthcare work in flood-hit areas around the country.—Myanmar News Agency
