Merit-makers flock to pagodas in Nay Pyi Taw on Tabaung Full Moon Day

Pilgrims and Buddhist devotees packed the pagodas and religious edifices in Nay Pyi Taw to do meritorious deeds on Full Moon Day of Tabaung yesterday.
The lotus robes were donated to four Maha Mani Maya Yadana Jade Buddha Images and Maha Sutaung Pyae Pagoda inside the Uppatasanti pagoda, where a consecration ceremony was held in the morning.
In the evening, ritual chanting of Paritta, Dhammacackka and Pathana Pali verses were recited, together with donation of 9,000 oil lights at the pagoda.
Moreover, many Buddhists came to other significant pagodas for doing meditation and other meritorious deeds on the remarkable occasion.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
