IN close collaboration with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the Myanmar Football
Federation (MFF) is holding an AFC ‘A’ football coaching certificate course at MFF’s headquarters in Yangon, beginning on 4 September.
The duration of the course is 27 days, with a minimum of 148 hours in total. The AFC ‘A’ coaching certificate course is for coaches who already hold both the ‘C’ and ‘B’ coaching certificates. Selection of participants is based on the recommendation of the instructors.
The course is designed to educate coaches in tactical and advanced technical requirements of teams and team management, said an official. Physiological and psychological needs of the players are being prescribed as part of the teaching module.
Students are tested on the practical and theoretical aspects of the game, and are required to submit and present a dissertation, the official added. There are a total of 24 attendees, and the course will be held till 27 September.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
