MGJEA to offer 2024 Gem Training Batch 5 for free in September

Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association is planning to conduct 2024 Gem Training (Batch 5) for free in September at Shwekyapin Gems and Jewellery Vocational School in Nay Pyi Taw.
Myanmar citizens aged 18-30 years who must complete elementary school, must be healthy and be committed to finishing the class are eligible to attend the training.
They must also present a CV form, citizenship scrutiny card, education certificate or recommendation, three passport-sized photos taken within three months, health certificate, recommendation letter from the ward administrator or village administrator and parent or guardian approval.
The training will last eight months, including two months of on-the-job training from September 2024 to February 2025. The maximum number of trainees is 60, and they can study one specialized subject on practical and theoretical approaches.
The subjects include lapidary art for gemstone cutting and polishing jade bracelets and beads, CNC jade carving and polishing using the computer system, jade carving arts, gemstone-related subjects, gemstone cutting, gems and jewellery arts, 2D Sketch Jewellery Design & 3D CAD/CAM, wax moulding, micro-setting and goldsmith.
Those qualified from other regions and states will be provided accommodation as well. They can order food at the school canteen.
