MGMA urges member factories to donate to flood-hit areas with K20M fund

Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA) said it will provide funding worth K 20 million and also urges its member factories and companies to donate what they want, either cash or items.
It said in a statement on fundraising for flood-affected areas issued on 16 September that MGMA urged its owner, managing director, director, and manager of all members and companies to donate.
The statement said some areas in Myanmar have suffered natural disasters due to heavy rains and river flooding, and people in those areas have been in need of a lot of aid. And MGMA would offer a fund worth K20 million to the affected people.
MGMA urged its member factories and companies to donate what they desire, either cash, clothes or food (along with estimated value) by 18 September (Wednesday). The location for accepting donated money is MGMA office, 9th floor at UMFCCI office tower, No 29, Minye Kyawswa Road in Yangon’s Lanmadaw Township and phone numbers are 01 2314829, 01 2300253 (extension 14) and 09 250001304 (Daw Htee Kyi Nu Aung).
