MIFER Deputy Minister receives Deputy Chief of Indian Embassy in Yangon

Dr Wah Wah Maung, Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, received Ms Nabanita Chakrabarti, Deputy Chief of the Mission of the Embassy of India in Yangon, at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
At the meeting, they cordially discussed matters of bilateral economic cooperation and Indian grant-in-aid projects.
In particular, they also have a detailed discussion on the progress of Small Development Projects proposed to the Indian side, the new additional proposed projects to be implemented by relevant ministries and the rehabilitation projects for the affected areas of Cyclone Mocha in 2023 under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Indian Grant Assistance for Implementation of Small Development Projects. Senior Officials for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations were also present at the meeting.
Small Development Project is a quick-win grant project provided by the Indian Government with the amount of under two million USD for implementing socioeconomic development, especially in health, education and community development sectors. — MNA
