MIFFA holds convocation for first batch of globally recognized FIFTA Diploma Course

Myanmar International Freight Forwarder Association- MIFFA held a convocation for its first batch of Freight Forwarding and Logistic Industry which is globally recognized ‘FIATA Diploma’ yesterday.
Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Thant Sin Maung delivered a key note speech at the convocation and expressed delight for the achievement of the MIFFA for successful conducting the diploma course.
Myanmar International Freight Forwarder Association (MIFFA) is the sole authorized training center approved by FIATA for National Level and this auspicious event is the first Convocation Ceremony for FIATA Diploma in Myanmar as MIFFA is successfully conducted training for the first time. The attendees are learnt for 10 subjects, such as:- Introduction to Freight Forwarding, Sea Transport & Inland Waterways Transport, Air Transport, Road Transport & Rail Transport, Multimodal Transport, Customs Procedures, Warehouse & Logistics, Safety, Security & Transport of Dangerous Goods, Transport Insurance and Information & Communication Technology in Forwarding.
All Subjects are lectured by international experienced vocational trainers and total training period is 360 hours.
The MIFFA is consistently putting all maximum efforts to enhance the knowledge and upgrade the quality of fellow members and fellow coworkers in related industry since it is one of the MIFFA main ambitions.
Successful conducting training and awarding “FIATA Diploma” according to “International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, FIATA” is not the prestigious achievement for MIFFA, but also the great enrichment for dynamic of Myanmar Freight Forwarding and Logistics Industry.
International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, FIATA is the international association with 150 member states which represent over 40,000 Freight Forwarding and Logistics companies.
FIATA education committee set guideline for preparing FIATA Diploma syllabus, conducted “training of trainers” for member state and let respective association of member state to train again on their behalf, if the preparation made by respective association is met their FIATA standard.—MNA  (Translated by Alphonsus)
