Military gallantry medals, titles presented to Tatmadaw personnel

A ceremony to award military gallantry medals and titles was held at the Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
It was attended by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Maha Thayay Sithu Min Aung Hlaing, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Thayay Sithu Soe Win, Union Ministers for Home Affairs, Defence and Border Affairs, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air), Commander-in-Chief (Navy), Commander-in-Chief (Air), officers from the Commander in Chief (Army), winners of honorary titles and certificates.
The Senior General presented the gallantry awards to two colonels, three captains, one sergeant, one corporal and two lance corporals, as well as his honorary certificate to one captain.
Until January 2020, the number of military gallantry medals and certificates winners has totalled six Aung San Thuriya title winners, 50 Thiha Thura title winners, 545 Thura title winners, six Thiha Bala medal winners, 3,871 gallantry record winners, 3,284 winners of gallantry certificate of Commander in Chief of Defence Services, and 1,826 winners of the honorary certificate of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, according to the Tatmadaw True News Information Team.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
