Mine attack outside school leaves one man injured in Okpo

A man was wounded while planting a homemade mine in front of the basic education high school in Okpo Township, Bago Region on 30 May.
The mine reportedly exploded while he was on the motorbike in front of the school, leaving him injured at lower part of waist. Security forces found and transported him to the township public hospital for medical treatment.
According to his confession, the former Pyithu Hluttaw Representative and his son-in-law instructed him to plant the mine in front of the school for 100,000 kyats.
During the search to their house, 9 NLD flags and 9 NLD shirts were confiscated, although ex-MP and his son were not found.
Efforts are made to arrest them and take effective actions against them according to the law. — MNA
