Misinformation: Security forces open fire on Singaung Village

Malicious news media are spreading false news that Singaung Village, Thandwe Township, Rakhine State, was attacked by security forces from 4 to 6 June with heavy weapons and aerial bombardment, resulting in casualties of about 100 villagers and the destruction of many homes.
The actual incident is that AA terrorists attacked the security forces and security camps that were working to secure the area so as to disrupt the peace and tranquillity in Thandwe Township and fired heavy weapons into the villages where the people live. Due to the incident, people from Singaung Village died on 5 and 6 June.
Malicious news media are working to misrepresent the security forces and cover up the terrorist activities of AA terrorists. The actions of the AA terrorists, such as arresting and killing innocent people and burning down villages, are also widely opposed by the international community. —MNA/KZL
