Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association (Central) gave medical check-up to pre-primary school aged
children, feeding up nutritious glutinous rice yesterday at Myothit Quarter, Ponnagyun in Rakhine State, in combination with Rakhine State MMCWA.
Afterward, 21 kinds of utensils used in house-holds and monetary aids were given out to 64 house-holds taking shelter at rescue camps opened in Lawka Marajein Pagoda campus in Ponnagyun.
Then similar donations were made to provide 21 kinds of utensils and monetary aids to 85 house-holds at the conventional rescue camp in Kyauktaw Sasana Beikman, and 77 house-holds at Maha Kangyishin Pagoda rescue camp.
In the evening, 21 kinds of utensils and monetary aids were donated respectively to 65 house-holds at Lawka Mannaung rescue camp, to 8 families at Phayarpaw rescue camp and to 40 expectant mothers, necessary items to be used during delivery.
MMCWA (Central) will support aids to displaced people at rescue camps in Minbya on 19 September and at Yathedaung on 20 September, according to Professor Dr San San Myint Aung, chairwoman of MMCWA.
