MoALI approves registration of 4,196 pesticides

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation has approved the registration of 4,196 pesticides.
The Pesticides Registration Board is conducting strict supervision to ensure that agricultural pesticides can be used with high quality and free from fakes and to ensure that they can be used safely and without harm to the environment.
Regarding the proper handling and disposal of pesticides, orders, specifications and instructions are issued from time to time to ensure that there is no danger to the environment.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is approving applications for a license to use pesticides, sell pesticides, and repackage pesticides under the Pesticide Law.
After the 41st meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, 4,196 types of pesticides have been approved for domestic use.
In the 42nd meeting, the Pesticide Technical Committee members discussed issues related to the approval of 149 types of pesticides submitted for verification.
Based on the information and recommendations compiled by the Pesticide Technical Committee, the Pesticide Registration Team decides to approve the registration of pesticides.
Officials are also working to determine the evidence required to be submitted in relation to toxic substances and ban the use of pesticides that pose a high risk to people and the environment based on international recommendations. — TWA/KZL
