MoALI minister warns legal actions against illegal land use before securing permit

The Central Farmland Management Body held its 35th coordination meeting yesterday. Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Thu presided over the meeting and talked about legal actions against illegal land use before acquiring permits and awareness on the illegal sale of farmland for the property.
The meeting also discussed compensation and losses for confiscated land, the establishment of the industrial garden project, applications for religious issues, construction of telecommunication towers and other uses and registration of vacant, fallow and virgin lands. He also discussed cash fine for illegal land use before securing the permit in line with Section 19 of Farmland Law. The meeting also focussed on farmland procedure law Section 30 (A) of 34, 35 and 36, rules and regulations. The Central Farmland Management Body scrutinized the application of central bodies from Nay Pyi Taw Council and regions/states on the application of land use in accordance with the rules and laws.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
