Mobile market vehicle sells foodstuff to city dwellers in Yangon

Mayor U Bo Htay visits Hanthawady tax-free market in Kamayut Township on 4 September.

The Yangon City Development Committee sold goods through the mobile market system yesterday so that people can shop easily.
Mingala Toungnyunt, Thakayta, Latha, Dagon Myothit (South), and Botahtaung townships were included in the programme.
The Yangon mayor and officials inspected the sale of foodstuffs to the residents on Zabuthiri Road, Thakayta Township and distributed masks to the sellers and buyers.
They also observed selling of palm oil to local people at K5,100 per viss, and 0.5 viss of oil each was sold per household and 10 eggs each were available per household at K175 per egg.
At Hanthawady tax-free market in Kamayut Township, the mayor inspected sanitation at the market and selling of goods in the market under the guidelines of the Ministry of Health regarding the prevention and control of the COVID-19 disease.
He also visited Hanthawady golf training ground and Hanthawady nursery, and No 1 Transit Centre where preparations are being made to accommodate contestants to the Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competitions.—MNA
