MoC assists daily import process of anti-COVID product

The Ministry of Commerce is overseeing the import of essential medical supplies plus anti-COVID devices that are critical to the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities, including liquid oxygen and oxygen cylinders, through trading posts, international airports and seaports.
Anti-COVID-19 equipment was imported by five companies using 12 vehicles. A total of 20 tonnes of liquid oxygen carried by one bowser, 238 empty oxygen cylinders, ten tonnes of gloves and 60 tonnes of masks were imported via Myawady and Chinshwehaw trade camps, and international seaports yesterday.
One oxygen bowser was transported to Yangon via Myawady trading post, officials said.
Officials from the relevant departments are cooperating to facilitate and expedite the standard operating procedures, including online registration for the import process.
