MoC conducts faster import process for Covid-19 protective equipment

The Ministry of Commerce is coordinating with relevant departments to facilitate the faster import of Covid-19 protective equipment during current public holidays.
From 6 am to 4 pm yesterday, a total of 68 companies made import processes of the pandemic protective equipment through International Airport, Seaports and Myawaddy, Tachilek and Chin Shwe Haw border trade posts.
A total of 16.447 million litres of liquid oxygen, 431 liquid oxygen cylinders, 468 vacant oxygen cylinders, 1,141 oxygen tanks, 4,790 home oxygen concentrators, 114,000 Covid Test Kits, 24,446 Kg of surgical masks were successfully imported.
The companies will continue their import processes in the coming holidays, officials said.
For the quick and easy import of COVID-19 protective equipment, the Ministry of Economy and Trade is carrying out regular import and export activities at border trade checkpoints during the public holidays from 17 to 25 July 2021 that are designated as public holidays. — MNA
