MoC conducts import processes for anti-COVID-19 devices daily

The Ministry of Commerce is making efforts to ensure people have access to the essential medical supplies that are critical to the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities, including liquid oxygen and oxygen cylinders, arranging continuous importation on public holidays.
On 29 August (Yesterday), anti-COVID-19 equipment, medical products including oxygen plants and concentrators were imported by 12 companies with the use of 19 vehicles, including two bowsers.
A total of 39 tonnes of liquid oxygen, 0.25 tonne of liquid oxygen cylinders, two oxygen storage containers, 180 empty oxygen cylinders, 1,215 home oxygen concentrators, 2,500 sets of Covid-19 test kits, 42,200 sets of PPE suits, and 16 tonnes of masks were imported via Muse, Chinshwehaw, Lwejel, and Myawady trade centres and the Yangon International Airport.
One vehicle carrying liquid oxygen was transported to Yangon and another one to Mawlamyine respectively.
It is reported that the Ministry of Commerce is coordinating with relevant departments, facilitating the importation of essential medical supplies required in prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19, as well as contact persons for inquiries can be reached through the Ministry’s Website —www.commerce.gov.mm. — MNA
