MoC Deputy Minister meets foreign investors

The MoC Deputy Minister hold talks with foreign investors on ensuring the seamless flow of trade and goods yesterday.

Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Commerce U Nyunt Aung, in his capacity as Chairperson of the Working Committee on Ensuring the Seamless Flow of Trade and Goods met foreign investors at the UMFCCI office yesterday.
During the meeting, the Chinese, Thailand, Korean, Japanese, Taiwan and Hong Kong investors in the industrial zones and representatives of foreign companies presented their current difficulties.
The departmental officials also discussed matters related to the trade, banking, jetty, arrival visa, investment and export and import permits.
Then, the committee chairman said there are a total of 42,001 containers — 19,594 departures and 22,407 arrivals at the jetty between 23 February and 31 March 2021.
Arrangements are also being made normally with the neighbouring countries for border trade. The ministry will cooperate with the relevant ministries to solve the current difficulties.
Then, the officials also discussed difficulties in salary withdrawal for factory workers, salary payment by CMP businesspersons, delays in imports and other hardships in investment and containers.
The officials of the Myanma Port Authority and Central Bank of Myanmar also settled the issues including overdue payments of containers in the meeting.—MNA
