The Ministry of Education has been closely following guidelines to protect against COVID-19 issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports to ensure the safety and peace of mind for students taking the matriculation examinations since 11 March.
The ministry does this by ensuring tables in the exam room are at least 3 feet apart from each other, there is good ventilation, performing health checks on students and ensuring they wash their hands properly.
MoE and MoHS have also collaborated to set up temporary clinics near the examination centres in order to provide emergency healthcare.—Soe Aung (Education) (Translated by Zaw Htet Oo)
