MoEE holds 2019 monsoon tree planting event

The Ministry of Electricity and Energy held a monsoon tree planting event for 2019 at central electric station 2 in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Firstly, Union Minister for State Counsellor Office U Kyaw Tint Swe, Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy Dr Tun Naing and other officials planted mesua ferrea trees at their designated places.
The ministers then went around encouraging the other staff who were planting diamond solitaire mango trees.
The Ministry of Electricity and Energy planted 17,000 saplings for 2019’s monsoon tree planting event, including teak, mahogany, diamond solitaire mango, padauk, tamarind and other species.
The saplings were planted simultaneously at station 2, Office No. 6, Office No. 44, No. 1 Construction (Paunglaung) and Paunglaung Electric Station under the jurisdiction of Union Territory, Nay Pyi Taw Central Electric Station 1, Pyinmana Central Electric Station, Shwe Myo Central Electric Station, and Wunna Theikdi Sports Ground electric station. —MNA (Translated by Zaw Htet Oo)
