MoFA Union Minister attends meeting 1/2022 of Working Committee on cooperation with UN Agencies and International Organizations under Central Committee on Rakhine State’s Peace, Stability and Development

The meeting of the Working Committee on cooperation with UN Agencies and International Organizations under the Central Committee on Rakhine State’s Peace, Stability and Development 1/2022 is in progress.

The meeting 1/2022 of the Working Committee on the cooperation with the United Nations Agencies and International Organizations under the Central Committee on Rakhine State’s Peace, Stability and Development was held at the Ayeyawady Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) at 10 am yesterday.
During the meeting, Union Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin, in his capacity as Chairman of the Working Committee for the cooperation with the UN Agencies and the International Organizations emphasized that the State Administration Council has formed the Central Committee on Rakhine State’s Peace, Stability and Development, Coordination Committee and four Working Committees with the aim to promote Rakhine State’s Peace, Stability and Development. The working committee will continue implementing its work to prove tangible results at the international arena. Moreover, he underscored that it is important to effectively carry out the respective activities for the actual improvement of social lives of all communities in Rakhine State.
Moreover, the committee members discussed the ongoing implementation and the areas for further cooperation in the Rakhine State including the ongoing projects of UN agencies and international organizations as well as International Non- Governmental Organizations. Additionally, they discussed the arrangements for the repatriation process of the displaced persons from Rakhine State after the systematic verification has been carried out.
The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the capacity of the Secretary of the Working Committee also discussed the future plan for the effective implementation of the tasks of the Working Committee while the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Information, co-secretary of the Working Committee deliberated the important role of disseminating the credible information.
Union Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin in his capacity as Chairman of the Working Committee made emphasis on close coordination among the ministries concerned for the effective contribution of the assistance of the UN agencies and international organizations to the areas where the assistance is actually in need. —MNA
