MoH keeps accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities

MoH Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win chairs the coordination meeting to accelerate anti-COVID-19 measures yesterday.

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win presided over a coordination meeting on accelerating the momentum in COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities with a hybrid system yesterday.
During the meeting, the Union minister talked about the rising cases of Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants of the COVID-19 pandemic across the world including Myanmar, and the need to follow health rules by returnees, especially at the entry and exit of border crossings, vaccination programmes of booster doses, Additional booster doses, public awareness programmes, supply of medicines and medical equipment, inventory of the remaining and needed amount of medical supplies and timely assistance of central level to regions/states.
Then, Deputy Minister Prof Dr Aye Tun explained the preparation of treatment centres, beds, medicines and medical supplies as positive cases are high again.
Relevant health officials of regions and states also reported on COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities conducted in regions, states and Nay Pyi Taw. — MNA
