MOH performs releasing of fingerlings and monsoon tree-growing ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw

A monsoon tree-growing and fingerlings-releasing ceremony of the Ministry of Health was held on 21 June at the National Herbal Park and the Mingala Lake in Zabuthiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.
First, Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win and Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr Maung Maung Naing released fish hatchlings into the lake.
Afterwards, Deputy Minister Dr Aye Tun and Colonel Min Naung, member of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the directors-general, the deputy directors-general and departmental staff released 10,000 golden sturgeon fingerlings and 10,000 Rohu fingerlings, totalling 20,000.
In addition, Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win, Dr Maung Maung Naing, Dr Aye Tun and the Nay Pyi Taw Council member planted Ceylon ironwood saplings, Myoporum sandwicense saplings, Tharaphi saplings and Magnolia saplings in the National Herbal Park, respectively.
Then, herbal plants such as Ceylon ironwood saplings, Myoporum sandwicense saplings, Tharaphi saplings, Magnolia saplings, Sandalwood saplings, Bay leaf saplings, Cinnamon saplings, Asafoetida saplings, Terminalia bellirica saplings, Patee phyu saplings, Gardenia saplings and Calophyllum inophyllum saplings were grown by officials and departmental personnel.
Later, the Union minister and officials viewed the cultivation of the herbal plants, it is learnt. — MNA
