Deputy Minister for Health and Sports U Myo Hlaing inspected Myanmar sports teams’ training at the Sports Training Camp, construction of stadiums and buildings in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The Myanmar sports teams have been training in the training camps in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw for the 31st Southeast Asian Games that Viet Nam will host in November 2021.
The Deputy Minister and party inspected Myanmar national athletes’ physical training in Wushu, Archery, Taekwondo at the gym in Nay Pyi Taw Sports Training Centre. They also reviewed the training activity of Myanmar national volleyball players and gave necessary instructions.
During the inspection tour to the individual qualifying competition of Myanmar national Kick Volleyball players, the Deputy Minister and officials presented the prizes to the winning players.
Afterwards, the Deputy Minister and party visited the Summer Myanmar Basic Martial Arts Training Course jointly organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education of Zabuthiri Township and Buddha Yadanar Charity at Buddha Yadanar Charity Monastic School in Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw. The course will be opened from 31 March to 9 April with 110 students. The Deputy Minister also donated foods and necessary sports aids to the school.
The Deputy Minister and party also inspected stadiums’ construction in Zabuthiri Township and the status of building the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education in Union Territory and instructed as necessary.
During the visit to Yellow Generation Youth Charity Association’s Orphanage School in Pobbathiri Township, the Deputy Minister and party encouraged the Summer Myanmar Basic Martial Arts Training Course hosted at the school and donated foods and sports aids.—MNA
