MOHS holds meeting of public health and medical services departments

The Ministry of Health and Sports held the coordination meeting of the Department of Public Health and Department of Medical Services through videoconferencing on 4 and 5 June.
At the meeting, Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win said the need to act as per the rules and regulations. At the same time, staff are invited to return to work on the other hand and make arrangements to review the human resource situation and relocate staff following the needs of the business.
He added the necessity to review national public health projects, set short term/long term plans in order to improve the expected life expectancy, which is an indicator of health, and arrange to reopen some hospitals that have been closed.
Deputy Ministers U Myo Hlaing and Dr Aye Tun discussed completing the construction processes in time and the need to work together to carry out hospital maintenance work and bring the hospital operation back to normal.
At yesterday’s meeting, officials from the respective states and regions public health departments and medical service departments presented the work implementation.
The Union Minister, Directors-General, Deputy Directors-General coordinated the meeting. — MNA
