MoHS minister Dr Thet Khaing Win meets Myanmar red cross society

Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Thet Khaing Win met with President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) Dr Maung Maung Myint and the Vice Chair of the MRCS on 11 May in Nay Pyi Taw.
At the meeting, the President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society explained the humanitarian aids in collaboration with the international fellow Red Cross associations, the status of health care assistance in conflict areas and financial and technical assistance by the international partners to MRCS, community-based activities for the COVID-19 control activities and the support of the region and state red cross societies in implementing the COVID-19 vaccination programme in the country.
The Union Minister expressed words of thanks for the community-based health care activities, humanitarian aids. He said his ministry is making an effort to resume the regular operation of hospitals and clinics. He pointed out Tatmadaw’s assistance in healthcare services to the people and the COVID-19 vaccination programme in respective states and regions.
He urged cooperation with his ministry in providing humanitarian aids in conflict areas and for the COVID-19 vaccination programme.—MNA
