MoHS releases update news of monitoring Novel Coronavirus

MoHSThe Minister of Health and Sports published an update news about its monitoring Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) at 6 pm yesterday. The report said about 2 years old girl was taken to Loikaw People’s Hospital for high fever on 1 February. After medical tests, the child was not found with symptoms of any respiratory diseases or 2019-nCoV.
However, she is being treated in an isolation room as a person under investigation. The health conditions of young girl have improved in yesterday afternoon.
In another case, a 26-year-old Koeran man sought medical treatment at Nyaung Shwe People’s Hospital on 2 February as he found some drops of blood in coughing after he arrived in Myanmar from Chiang Mai, Thailand, on 16 January.
He was properly transferred to Sao San Htun Hospital in Taunggyi of southern Shan State for medical treatments in an isolation room.
However, he had no records on visiting China in the past 14 days and no close contacts with health workers who treated patients with severe respiratory diseases or any positive patients.
He is also getting medical treatments as a person under investigation in an isolation room, although he was not suffering the symptoms of 2019 Novel Coronavirus, he is.—MOI(Translated by Aung Khin)
