MoHS Union Minister inspects hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister Dr Thet Khine Win makes an inspection tour around hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Thet Khine Win inspected Eyes, Ears, Nose, Throat and Head surgical operation Hospital, Pobbathiri General Hospital and Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (1000-bed) in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The Union Minister and party firstly inspected Nay Pyi Taw Eyes, Ears, Nose, Throat and Head surgical operation Hospital and instructed the patients’ necessary things.
The outpatient department for eyes is daily open. Operations are conducted on Tuesday/Thursday noon together with other ears/nose patients. The outpatient department for ears/nose is opened on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Then, the Union Minister met the specialists, nurses and medics and appreciated their efforts in providing medical treatments to the patients. He also highlighted healthcare workers’ role, effective use of allocated funds to ease public health expenses, and plans to reward the healthcare staff depending on their degrees and food aids for night shift duty men.
The Union Minister and party then went to Pobbathiri General Hospital and inspected the COVID-19 vaccination programmes for the elderly at the age of over 60.
During his inspection, the Union Minister added the plans to ease travel restrictions for those vaccinated twice, public participation in vaccination programmes to achieve the everyday living style, as usual, procurement of COVID-19 vaccine with the State Fund and other preparations after getting the vaccine.
The Union Minister then went to Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (1000-bed) and inspected the emergency department.
He then inspected the lab/blood donation bank of the hospital and met with the patients at the ICU.
He also discussed with the Superintendent, nurses, and healthcare staff to provide healthcare services for the public. He stressed the need to consider whether leaving the duties and patients are right and respecting ethics. The Union Minister also highlighted some proper allowance for healthcare services. —MNA
