MoHT announces photo contest for World Tourism Day

This photo shows the World Tourism Day colour photo competition in progress in 2023.

According to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, a photo competition will be held to commemorate World Tourism Day. Participants are encouraged to feature Myanmar’s peaceful and pleasant scenes, culture, attire, and customs of its indigenous peoples to promote the Myanmar tourism sector.
There will be 20 prizes for participants, with the first prize being K900,000, the second prize K700,000, the third prize K500,000, and consolation prizes of K150,000 each.
Contestants must submit their photos to the Yangon Region Directorate of the Hotels and Tourism Department by 3 pm between 5 and 23 August.
The winning photos will be exhibited at the World Tourism Day ceremony, which will be held in December 2024, along with the awards ceremony.
