MoHT holds meeting with MTF, its 11 member associations

The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism held a meeting with the Myanmar Tourism Federation and its 11 associated member organizations through video conferencing in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
Union Minister U MaungMaung Ohn, the directors-general, officials from the ministry, chairpersons and secretaries of the MTF and its 11 associated member organizations attended the online meeting.
During the meeting, the Union Minister said the work would be accelerated for the benefit of the country, people and entrepreneurs in accordance with the policies and procedures set by the ministry and he urged to present the activities related to the development of the hotels and tourism sector.
He continued the State Government also pays special attention to the ministry and expressed words of thanks for the tourism promotion shows, Yangon river cruise, participation in digital marketing tenders for tourism promotions.
He added the mutual trust and respect are the keys in cooperating with each other and he called on the Myanmar Tourism Federation and its 11 associated member organizations to explain the misunderstanding and cooperate in tourism promotion activities.
The chairmen and the secretaries attended the online meeting discussed plans for short-term tourism development, the support and interest-free loans by the State to the low-income organizations and staff, the reopening of restaurants in accordance with the rules and regulations issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports, the funding requirements of the federation, holding jewellry exhibition, the negotiation with the bank for loan application and tax payment and work implementation by sectors.
The Union Minister expressed words of thanks for the discussion of the Myanmar Tourism Federation and its 11 associated member organizations and said to organize the programmes for the short-term tourism development, and he said he would coordinate with the relevant ministries for the presentation.— MNA / GNLM
