MoHT minister explores tourist attractions around Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Ohn Maung, together with his Deputy Minister U Tin Lat, Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee Member U Min Thu and officials, made field studies around Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday to develop tourist attractions for local and foreign visitors in the post-COVID-19. The Union Minister and party reached the viewpoint for ‘cloud sea’ and its nearby Waitharli village of Kayin ethnic people to study culture and livelihoods of residents.
At the Pyadachaung Village of PaO ethnic people, the Union Minister and party discussed the development of community-based tourism and other appropriate attractions in 11 villages out of 14 ethnic villages.
After visiting Myathida village of PaO, Kayan and Shan ethnic people, the Union Minister and officials proceeded to the nearby 7-level waterfall to develop public recreation places and the trekking and adventure tourism, discussed ways for community-based tourism in relation to the cultures of local ethnic people in Pyadachaung village and Myathida village, promotion of popular community-based tourism in PaO areas and conducting tourism training courses.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
