MoHT Union Minister attends seminar on Myanmar services trade and investment portal (MSTIP Portal), MSTIP mobile app

The seminar on MSTIP Portal and MSTIP Mobile Application is in progress in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung attended a seminar on Myanmar Services Trade and Investment Portal (MSTIP Portal) and MSTIP Mobile Application yesterday morning in Nay Pyi Taw.
The seminar was attended by the directors-general, the deputy directors-general and officials from the ministry and state/region branch officers joined online. The seminar was organized to share the experiences of the two researchers on the MSTIP Portal and MSTIP Mobile App, launched by the Ministry of Commerce and to add the necessary information.
During the discussion, the Union minister said the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Services is being drafted and implemented to enable the independent operation of services in the ASEAN region, adding that it is necessary to study and analyze the situation of the hotels and tourism sector in the ASEAN services and investment concessions. Therefore, it will be more beneficial for the users by adding the required information in the MSTIP Portal and MSTIP Mobile app by the Ministry, he said.
Afterwards, officials explained tourism-related services mentioned in the web portal and activities related to MSTIP Portal and Mobile Application, and the participants asked questions. The Union minister enquired about the services required by the ministry in the hotels and tourism sector and gave necessary instruction.
The Union minister also met region/state branch office heads through videoconferencing and said it is important to survey conducting tourism services. He added to provide better services to those visiting our country and help in research work by cultivating the habit of carefully recording and arranging solutions conveniently. He called on them to work together for the long-term development of the tourism industry. — MNA
