MoHT Union Minister meets civil servants who studied in Russia

The videoconference between the MoHT Union Minister and civil servants who studied in the Russian Federation is in progress.

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism met the government employees who studied in Russian Federation via videoconferencing yesterday.
The event was attended by the directors-general of the ministry and department heads, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, officials of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Hotels and Tourism who completed scholarship programmes in Russia while the rectors, department heads and tutors/demonstrators of universities/colleges joined online.
Speaking at the event, the Union minister said the government is making efforts to promote the bilateral relationship between Myanmar and Russia. The tourism sector is one of the eight sectors of bilateral trade cooperation discussed at the seventh Eastern Economic Forum held in Russia soon. As long as there are human beings, there would be the tourism industry and the industry is connecting with the trade and investment sectors in other countries. The government also emphasizes the hotels and tourism development and instructs to hold discussions with the government employees who studied in Russia to facilitate Russian tourists in promoting bilateral relationships.
He then called for cooperation work in inviting Russians for study tours and promoting the tourism market of Russia.
Then, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology and participants reported on the traditions of Russians, proper measures to attract Russian tourists and the opening of Russian language courses.
Afterwards, officials suggested information exchanges and communications, and the Union minister concluded the event.—MNA
