MOI holds coord meeting to commemorate birthday of Bogyoke Aung San

A coordination meeting was held at Ministry of Information meeting hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning to successfully commemorate the anniversary of the birthday of Independence Architect Bogyoke Aung San that will be on 13 February 2019.
At the meeting Union Minister for Information Dr. Pe Myint spoke of including the early life of Bogyoke, efforts toward independence, background political history related to Bodyoke, his speeches, books on him, audio and video records, timeline of Bogyoke’s life and photographs in the exhibition.
The Union Minister invited discussions and suggestions on conducting recitation competition of poems related to Bogyoke and competition of youngsters acting like Bogyoke while giving speeches of Bogyoke in school, conducting talks on the outstanding qualities of Bogyoke and where and how it will be commemorated in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay as well as other towns and cities in states and regions. Next Deputy Minister U Win Maw Tun discussed and explained about setting specific aims and goals for the event and to implement it accordingly, work processes in conducting the event at the national and regional level and holding of Bogyoke Aung San birthday anniversary exhibitions and competitions. Meeting attendees discussed on holding various events and competitions and Deputy Ministers U Aung Hla Tun and U Win Maw Tun provided additional discussion on work requirements. In his concluding speech at the meeting, Union Minister Dr. Pe Myint spoke of the requirement to highlight the efforts made by Bogyoke Aung San for the country and independence, his honesty, love for truth and courage especially for these to be instilled in the mind of youngsters and for them to admire and imitate. —MNA (Translated by Zaw Min)
