Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected the rehearsals of the Myanmar Film Academy Award ceremony yesterday evening.
The Union minister arrived at the open-air theatre near City Hall where the ceremony is to be held and viewed the completion of stage construction of the Myanmar Film Academy Award ceremony for 2019, 2020 and 2022, installations of audio, visual and lighting systems, rehearsals for the opening ceremony, practising of receptionists and masters of ceremonies, fixing the place for laying the red carpet, trial setting off fireworks, accommodation arrangement and installation of colourful lights.
Deputy Minister U Ye Tint and responsible officials explained matters concerning the agenda, selection of songs to be performed and successful holding of the ceremony.
Some film stars and receptionists are arriving to attend the Myanmar Film Academy Awards ceremony to be held on 6 May and are making the preparations for the ceremony.
Out of the film stars who are going to attend the ceremony, two actors and two actresses will be chosen and presented with Fashion Awards. — MNA/MKKS
