MoI Union minister urges all to have books for young people in library

The MoI Union minister views the miniature version of the construction of Ananta Zina Thanbuddhe Pagoda in Ywangan on 29 Novenber 2021.

Union minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn accompanied by Chairman of the Danu Self-Administered Zone Administration Body U Arkar Lin arrived at the Department of Information and Public Relations (IPRD) in Ywangan Township yesterday morning and inspected the conditions for coordinating information activities for the development of the region and operation of the library.
During the meeting with the staff, the Union Minister said information and knowledge dissemination activities are very important for the development of the region and the main task of the Department of Information and Public Relations is to disseminate accurate information and raise awareness among the people. He urged all to make effort to improve the appearance and services of the library and said it is necessary to organize the books and magazines that students and young people would like to read so that they will come to the library.
The Union minister highlighted the need to launch computer courses and other vocational training courses, the need for the staff to collaborate with relevant regional authorities for the development of the region that they are assigned. He called on them to openly present the difficulties and challenges in carrying out tasks and to work together amicably among them. He also stressed the need to be lookout for security concerns as unscrupulous people are now carrying out various forms of vandalism.
Chairman of the Administration Body U Arkar Lin presented the construction of the multi-purpose hall for community centre and public awareness activities. Afterwards, the Union minister observed the construction of the Ananta Zina Thanbuddhe Pagoda and donated cash.
Chairman U Arkar Lin explained the agricultural activities and regional development works of Ywangan from the hill of the pagoda. The Union minister said Pindaya and Ywangan have good foundations for nature-based tourism and he will provide media assistance to attract more local and international travellers. — MNA
