MoL Union Minister receives IOM Chief

IOM Mission Chief Mr Dragan Aleksoski calls on Union Minister U Myint Naung yesterday.

Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung met Mr Dragan Aleksoski, Mission Chief of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to Myanmar, who is about to leave Myanmar after completing his tour of duties, at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
During the meeting, the Union minister said that Myanmar migrant workers who are working in various countries can move and work safely, receiving social protection and care. He also thanked the IOM for providing humanitarian assistance to migrant workers.
They frankly discussed matters of signing an MoU for cooperation in labour issues with IOM and collaboration between the Ministry of Labour and IOM for International labour migration management. — MNA/TS
