Mongolia recognizes and supports Myanmar’s reform

Ulaanbaatar, 29 June—The reform process undertaken in Myanmar continues to progress steadily and Myanmar has taken visible achievements in many areas of socioeconomic development, national reconciliation and democratization, the Mongolian government said in a joint statement issued by President Ts Mr Elbegdorj of Mongolia and President U Thein Sein of Myanmar on Monday.
President U Thein Sein was paying a goodwill visit to Mongolia and the two countries hoped to expand the cooperation between them.
The statement also said that Mongolia will support Myanmar’s efforts for democratization and socio-economic reforms.
Mongolia and Myanmar also discussed sending election observers to elections in the two countries, according to the joint statement.  MNA
