MoNREC minister inspects forest plantations in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Ohn Win inspected the plantations yesterday in Thiri Yadana Street in Ottara Thiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area which were planted by the ministry and Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association in 2018.
The Union Minister and party then inspected the Phohsaungtaung reserve block No (3) in Thiri Yadana Street of Ottara Thiri Township which was designated to hold 2021 monsoon tree plantation festival and instructed the officials regarding with the plants for the festival.
The officials of No (2) Training School of Myanma Timber Enterprise located at Thabyay Street in Ywar Kaung Ward of Pyinmana Township presented the matters related with the training schools, online teaching method during COVID-19 pandemic.
The Union Minister then discussed the importance of practicals and lectures for the trainees at the training school delivers the best method of behaviour in real practices of Dozer and Loader operation, driver and mechanics, internet access for the trainees during their online learning period, online tests, cooperation works with the regional heads to conduct practicals and lectures for the trainees via the skilled staff without affecting their worksite and working hours and plans to negotiate with the officials of the Myanma Timber Enterprise head office to extend the learning hours if necessary.
After that, the Union Minister inspected the dormitories of the training school and instructed to follow the COVID-19 health rules and to have an awareness of fire.
Then, the officials of the main workshop of Myanma Timber Enterprise located in Aung Thar Yar Ward of Pobbathiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw presented the Union Minister about the matters related to the types of machinery, selected pieces of machinery to repair in the respective financial year, budgets and the fire prevention activities.
The Union Minister stressed the important role of machineries in transporting the felled trees to the timber yard, budgets for the main workshop, programmes to set the level of machinery to be maintained and repaired based on the commercial purposes and the record of fuel consumption.
The Union Minister also inspected the warehouses of machineries and instructed the need to repair and maintain the workshops and warehouses and to conduct fire prevention activities.—MNA (Translated by Khine Thazin Han)
